apparently he was actively recording material during that whole period and that he just didn't feel like releasing it. i think he said that he hates sharing music with other people, which is pretty odd. my guess is that he needs money now to support his family so he's starting to release stuff from that period. once he has enough he'll probably drop off of the face of the earth again.
