I'm excited about Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Bloodborne, even though I have no idea how I'm going to play the latter because I don't own a PS4. What about you guys?

I'm definitely looking forward to rebirth, and to a lesser extent bloodborne. And smash bros, even though it's already out and I just haven't gotten around to getting it yet.

I don't actually know of any games coming out soon...

I look forward to playing more of the final fantasies though :) I only played up through 10,then technology passed me. But now I'm mostly caught up so I can play 11-15 or whatever. Maybe I'll get some for christmas

From what I hear, the series drops off in quality a bit, though I liked 12 quite a bit when I played it way back. 10 is definitely the best (in my opinion), though. I suppose I should probably get to playing FF7, which a lot of people love.

This is exactly why The Binding of Isaac is one of my most played games on Steam. It's easy to pick up and put back down, and when I was super busy in school, this was incredibly important to me.

Don't bother with 7.. I mean, its a classic and all, but I've gone back and tried to replay it.. and sadly our technology has passed ff7 in so many ways that playing it again seems lacking. Our games have seriously grown since the ff7 days, and sure back in the day it was a revolutionary game that changed the way RPGs were played...but it *was* revolutionary.

Now its just not the same. :(

    So many limits..

I have a bit of a thing for older games, so I'm probably going to give it a shot anyway, but thanks for the heads up. FF10 will probably always be my favorite, though.

EDIT: Also, Rahv, have you played Tales of Symphonia? It was a game for the gamecube that I really liked as a kid that was pretty similar to Final Fantasy, from what I remember.

I haven't played that one, I didn't have a gamecube sadly. Everyone is like "wtf rahv u no has gamecube ever?!" and I'm like "yup...I went from snes to n64 to playstation 2 and stayed there til the 360.." and they're like "you missed out on all these awesome gamecube games"

And I am filled with regret that I didn't get into gamecube, because I've gone back and played some on emulators from time to time and they're always really good, at least the ones I seek out end up being better than expected. I'll try to get an emulator and give it a shot, or at least watch some gameplay sometime :)

The GameCube was definitely a fantastic console (one of the best), but I don't think you made a mistake in getting a PS2, as that was also a fantastic console.

That being said, if you ever get the chance, you should take the time to play The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, Super Mario Sunshine, and maybe some others. There are some other games that were great fun, but weren't really the best designed games I've ever played.
